Dr. Jay Christensen
North Shore Foot & Ankle of Appleton, WI
Dr. Jay Christensen is a board-certified surgeon who brings specialized expertise and training in foot and ankle reconstruction.
Dr. Christensen is originally from Brandon, SD, where he participated in multiple athletics and outdoor activities with his active family throughout his youth. Dr. Christensen graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Arts in Biology from the University of South Dakota in Vermilion, SD.
He then attended the Dr. William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, IL graduating 3rd in his class.
Dr. Christensen completed and intensive 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency with emphasis in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. During his time in Milwaukee, Dr. Christensen developed a strong interest in reconstructive and trauma surgical techniques. During this time, Dr. Christensen completed additional trauma training at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.
Dr. Christensen has been practicing in Wisconsin since 2015 and is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons for both Foot and Ankle surgery.
Dr. Christensen also serves as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He has served as a lecturer and lab instructor teaching other foot & ankle surgical techniques to surgeons across the United States. He has performed thousands of surgical procedures during his career but takes pride in keeping conservative treatment as his preferred treatment whenever possible. Dr. Christensen believes that effective patient communication and patient education is a mainstay of any treatment option.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as being outdoors and enjoying the activities WI has to offer.

Megan Kendall (NP)
North Shore Foot & Ankle of Appleton, WI
Megan Kendall is an Appleton native who enjoys being back in her hometown after spending several years living and working in Nashville, TN. Megan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI. She then moved to Nashville, TN and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Adult Emergency Department for 8 years. She obtained her Master of Nursing Science at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Megan is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Megan enjoys working with patients and treating their foot conditions in order to get them back on their feet and back to living their life. She treats patients with conditions including, but not limited to, wounds and infections, ingrown nails, plantar fasciitis, and pain.
In her free time, she enjoys exercising, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Jason Nowak
North Shore Foot & Ankle of Oshkosh, WI
Dr. Nowak is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, holding dual certification in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He brings advanced expertise in total ankle replacement and complex rearfoot and ankle reconstruction to the practice.
A Wisconsin native, Dr. Nowak was raised in Wautoma, where he developed a lifelong passion for athletics and the outdoors alongside his active family. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and completed his medical education at Des Moines University’s College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery (CPMS) in Des Moines, IA.
Dr. Nowak received his surgical residency training in foot and ankle surgery at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee. There, he trained under nationally recognized leaders in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, gaining comprehensive experience across the full spectrum of surgical care.
Dr. Nowak’s clinical interests and surgical specialties include total ankle replacement, ankle arthroscopy, rearfoot and ankle reconstruction, adult and pediatric flatfoot correction, forefoot reconstruction, treatment of tendon and ligament injuries, sports- related foot and ankle injuries, and trauma/fracture care.
